mr peanut is back to say hello to everyone!! haha. dont bother about me, im mad. everytime i talk about peanut i'll be that hyper. lol. peanut is just sooooo mad cute though he is getting fatter and fatter. how can he not get fat??!! i have been feeding and feeding him just like how i feed myself. so, if u realised that i grow fatter then u can roughly gauge how big my bunny is. hahaha. im tinking of getting a bigger cage for him. my current cage is already quite big, but it seems that if he continue to grow, this cage can no longer fit him. haiz, my sis is going to buy him a treadmill. she said he needs some exercise and she puts the blame on me. -.-" maybe i shldnt really feed him too much. let me think about it. heh.

When is Influenza A going to stop? i keep sweating and sweating with the surgical mask on during the whole shift. i tink my pimple are going to start popping out soon. cant imagine how the ED staff breathe with the N95 mask on. if i were there i tink im going to have another asthma attack. cant breathe properly with that thing on. the flu is causing us so much trouble. now we cant even go out of singapore without hospital clearance. my june hols dream is gone just like that. im going to sit at home and watch them go to malaysia without peanut and me. how sad :( but the lucky thing is i got wii at home. yes! i just bought it not long ago. and it's damn fun. i can really sweat when playing it. damn shiok, i'll be able to shake off a few kg of my fats if i continue playing. haha.ok, my excuses to play only. come come, come my house and playwii with me. it will be so damn fun :))

today, i saw dr hum in my ward. the dr who took care of my mum when she is still around. she is the nicest dr i ever seen though she is already a consultant. i have been wanting to see her again ever since aug. and i finally saw her again today. i thought i could be like my usual self and chat wif her whenever she comes for home visits. but i was wrong, the moment she gave me a hug and ask me how i was coping. my tears jus keep flowing. probably becos no one had asked me how i was coping ever since she was not around. i know they dont wan to remind me about the unhappiness. keeping everything inside me is not healthy but i really dont feel like sharing it wif others probably becos im trying to escape reality too.

im too used to have her around. im still not used to it.

heh heh. we hav come up different dept names for different teams in my ward. starting with team 3, it's the mini IMH cos all the potential mental patients are there. nurses at this team hav to stay alert and look out for patients climbing out of their bed.

team 2 is the mini ICU and mini nursing home. there is 8 ngt feeding and 12 turning to do. mind u 8 and 12! very huge figure! and we hav quite alot of DIL patients there too. so, nurses at this team hav to prepare to sweat and keep a stethoscope with them at all times.

and finally team 1. it's the mini A class team. dont need me to say huh, i tink u know why. so, ppl working at this team hav to put on a smile and speak gently at all times.

dont u tink my ward is super interesting?! so interesting to see how ppl nurse different type of patients. heh heh, sometimes jus standing there,looking at how ppl work make me happy. *:))

lao niang im super busy today. my team is damn heavy and today im really the junior in charge cos mostly i was jus helping around. after i showered my 1st patient, i feel like all my bones are going to break.he is damn heavy la. im sweating like hell and i thought im the one showering instead. haha. but no regrets cos i tink he really feel much much more refresh after the shower. then, at the end of my shift, i updated all my charts. for the first time i used my staff stamp. there is this wow~ feeling when i stamp on it. so everytime i stamp i wow~. haha. u believe?

i did maggot's dressing today!!! say im cool pls. haha. only manage to catch that one and only maggot that is trying to escape. maggot, u cant escape, im watching u! lol. dont bother about me, im crazy. actually i really wanna go down wif the pt to see how the therapy is done. but too bad, didn had the chance. only jiayang managed to see. jiche!! i dont care. next time u hav to bring me along!! im happy today though it's really tiring. i hope i maintain positive everyday. yea yea~~

sometimes, will u ever wonder why do we hav to work so hard as a nurse? when our hard work are not appreciate and recognise at all? patients said we are maid in the hospital, they can scold us for no reason. yet we hav to help and nurse them without asking for return.well, though having all these shit, we still know deep inside us. it's the passion that make us hold onto this job. as u all know. i hav started my career life on the 7th april. one week had passed and im still left with 2 weeks of honeymood period. im so reluctant to go back to ward but yet i wanna experience the shuangness of being a staff nurse. stud nurses are extremely poilte to us. they will smile or intro themselves to us when they come over to borrow equipments. the feeling is oh so shiok la~! but normally i'll tend to forget that im a staff nurse. =p

anyway, these few days i hav been attending lectures and recapping almost everything taught in sch. i hav been really good. so good that i cant even believe myself. im actually listening to the lectures! *clap hand pls* if u guys know me, u shld know that i sleep in all lectures. lecturer's voice are sleeping pills to me.but this time im really trying to keep myself awake. i dont wish to go back to the ward and make my preceptor teach me everything again. see, im so hardworking now. cant believe it. haha. oh and i hav already taken my annual leave. haha. dont be so shock can?! ya la, my ward sister is damn kiasu. first day of work she already let us choose our leave. so, tada! i hav 2 weeks annual leave on august and another week leave on dec. hehehe. so, u all know wat to do huh? take the same mth off as me. so we can go overseas together!! see u all soon!

busy busy busy!! my ward is super busy can?!! i hav nv seen such busy ward before. no wonder they said if u can survive in ward 7c, u can survive anywhere. today i finally realised how true it is. imagine having to run 2 teams everyday. 1 staff nurse hav to take 18 cases! assnut. really can die man.so,in the end we hav to deploy staff from other ward to help us serve medications. haiz, with this shortage of staff, im 80% sure im going back to tis ward after i graduated. kao, i hope by that time, they will hav more nurses there.

U cant imagine how chaotic today was. As usual, after taking reports, i went to take my hourly parameters for my patient. Oxygen saturation 88% BP was 52/30 after that undetectable. Of cos i went to inform my staff nurse and not long after that resuscitation trolley was in and doctors and nurses came.

It was damn exciting can. Breaking open the resuscitation trolley. Putting up IV hartmann for the patient. Assisting the doc in the ECG, eg... The experience was totally different from what we do to the manikins. oh, it was so exciting yet scary at the same time. Ilyana was shaking when she was doing the hypocount for the patient and she got teased by me for the rest of the day. haha.

After resuscitation, the whole place was in a mess. though we hav to clean up the mess but it was a very good experience. at least i know what to do if this kind of situation happen again. Sad to say the patient did not survive. Maybe it was a relief for her. i dont know. i guess as a nurse we hav to face this type of situation very often. Jus hope that we dont turn emotionless as time goes by.

Im beginning to feel the pressure of PRCP. Sister have been coming now and then to question us about our patient's condition. From the head to toes. Every single detail. A few of us had already been lectured by her. i guess my turn is going to come soon. Sad to say , i still dont really know my patient well. haha. Anyway, other than that, Geron ward can be quite fun to work in. The elderly are cute, doctors are friendly and nurses are very approachable. These people make attachment very enjoyable. Maybe i should consider going to Geron for my PRCP.

oh ya, today, i recieved my form for PRCP's posting and i seriously hav no idea which discipline i should go. I need time to think about it but the CI will be collecting the form next week. Which 1 should i go? im really confused now. = ( Why why why? Tell me why TTSH doesn't hav a Onco ward?!!

Today is my sis Uni Graduation day. After four years of hard work she is finally graduating! im soooooooooooo happy for her. though i didn attend her graduation ceremony but i did msg to congrats her ok. im such a good sister.
